We're winding down and ramping up...getting some ideas ready for games in 2015 and working

pre-holidays update: new portfolio site; Table Flip Board Games

November blew with some fierce wind storms here in Seattle, but things have quieted down in the week or so before Thanksgiving.

Not so much for me, as I've been busily assembling a new portfolio site and keeping up the social media side of Table Flip.

My new site should be up by the first week in December and I'll make an official announcement once it goes live.
On the Table Flip side of things, we've been working behind the scenes to learn the ropes of self-publishing and we're making some pushes in that area to get Last Stand released to the public.
We're still dev-ing up a storm and will have a solid backlog of material to work from once we get Last Stand on track.

Table Flip :: Promotional Images

With a background in virtual prototyping, I've been frequently tasked with creating sample product and gameplay renders for various projects.

Below are some additional images from Last Stand and The Black Hands of Hathoway

(Asset creation and renders through Maya with additional design work and compositing in Photoshop)

Table Flip update :: "Black Hands of Hathoway" nearing launch!

Ever since Gen Con, we've been hard at work putting the finishing touches on our latest release, The Black Hands of Hathoway.

Black Hands is a competitive,  family-friendly card game of bluffing, trickery, and prediction. Players must out think and out wit each other. Bribe officials to help you but in the end, it is all about the treasure.

At the moment, we're reviewing pre-print copies of the game provided through The Game Crafters and will be making some minor adjustments for an early October release date.
As always, check us out on Twitter and Facebook for all of the latest on Table Flip Board Games!

The Brothers Popp (Sean and Kyle) provided the awesome illustrations and I provided the overall layout and design of game materials (cards, rule book and game box) and promotional pieces (sell sheet, logo and ad banner design).

Gen Con 2014 :: Last Stand at the Playtest Hall!

Table Flip BG will be at the Playtest Hall at Gen Con today at 8PM EDT demoing Last Stand!

Last Stand is a cooperative survival simulation. Players will find themselves in a massive city with dwindling resources that is slowly being overrun with Infected. During the day, players can explore and take actions. They will have many opportunities to build bases, get supplies, assign survivors, fight and make use of special abilities. When Night falls, the Infected roam, but they are not the only threat. Starvation, sickness and the loss of humanity are a few of the other dangers that await.

Come on by and check us out!

Table Flip at Gen Con, Last Stand

We're happy to announce that we won the auction to appear as a featured developer alongside the good folks at The Game Crafter site at Gen Con this August! They'll be providing us a seat at the table from 2PM - 6PM on Thursday and even doing a little bit of leg work to send folks our way.

Over the next few weeks, we'll be putting together some promotional material as well as a few new revised editions of the game.

In the meantime, a nice little render of Last Stand in action.

Throwback Thursday :: Mock up's for Last Stand box art

Ultimately, we went with a brighter, more open design to distinguish ourselves from other games in the genre, but back in the earlier days of designing the box cover, I put together this short series of mock up's.

"Last Stand" events, promotions, updates

We've been working hard, gathering up all the feedback and crafting a near final version of the game.

One of the new features that we've prepped for the main release is the Mission Pack; small stand alone events that explore the rich lore of Last Stand, introduce new characters and expand upon the rules and modes of play.

We're also excited to announce that Table Flip will be a two upcoming gaming events,  UnPub at the Raygun lounge this July 26th and at Gen Con, this August 14-17.

Good news, everyone!
We at Table Flip Board Games are happy to announce that as of June 11th, we've finished our first title, Last Stand, and have started a limited production run through The Game Crafter online site.

We have a minimal but growing entry over at Board Game Geek, so keep checking us out for future updates!

Clearing off the dust, making way for the new

In the early part of this year I continued my work over at Forever Interactive, building out environment assets for Visions of Zosimos.

We have an open alpha available for playtesting and have received great feedback which will be used to prepare the beta release of the game.
While this is occurring, development has shifted focus to the game mechanics and internals allowing us to enhance and streamline gameplay.
In the meantime... a little bit of vacation for me. :)

Of course, that just means I get to work on some of my own small side projects, one of which I'm happy to share with you now.
Back at the end of March, I began working with a couple of other indie artists here in Seattle, developing a post apocalyptic board game of zombie survival, Last Stand.

We're nearly at a point where we can crank out a few prototypes and hope to have a site and dev blog up and running in the next couple of weeks.
And hopefully...we'll make it to PAX this year to demo our fun little game for everyone.

In the meantime, I can showcase a little bit of the art I've developed for the game:

( game board, turn card and land tile, respectively )

forever Forever Interactive

A little silent on my front here, but things have been busy!

EverFire, the division of Forever Interactive that I've been freelancing for has temporarily suspended operations on existing titles so that we can focus on getting the flagship project, Visions of Zosimos into a playable alpha state.

So, after a bit of a holiday vacation at the end of the year, I've been working hard to get re-integrated with the production pipeline and start working on environment assets.

This is a bit of a homecoming for me, since I was there for the early dev cycle of VoZ before I shifted over to the mobile game division.

It's great to be back and looking forward to showing off what we've been working on!
